Karen Ferguson, DC, FICPA, CLD
Dr. Karen Ferguson is the owner and founder of Ferguson Family Chiropractic. Dr. Karen began her quest for health when she received chiropractic care following a neck injury. As a result, she changed her career path from physical therapy to chiropractic care. Dr. Karen graduated from Ohio University in 1991 with a degree in Exercise Science, and Life University in 1995. She is part of the extension faculty of Life University working with the PEAK Senior Intern Program, training students in chiropractic care for over 20 years.
Dr. Karen is also certified in both Pediatric Chiropractic Care (ICPA) and the Webster Technique for pregnant people, a diversified adjustment to encourage a breech baby to turn. Dr. Karen’s knowledge and expertise also includes labor doula training through CAPPA so that she may provide additional benefit and wisdom to support pregnant people seeking care that are seeking home or non-medicated births.
Dr. K is the proud mother of four (mostly) adults, all born at home and all raised with chiropractic care since birth, using nutrition and other holistic approaches to address health challenges through life. Now that her kids have grown, they are empowered to trust in the healing capabilities of their bodies instead of being afraid of what’s going wrong; an approach that is infused in the education people receive in the office.
Because of her education and life experience, Dr. K has created a wonderful, thriving family practice in Acworth, GA; one of the largest and most sought out chiropractic offices in the state. Ferguson Family Chiropractic boasts not only a large prenatal and pediatric client base, but also provides wellness care through all chapters of life. We welcome people of all ages, birth through life with the assurance that it is never too late to begin chiropractic care!
Dr. Karen’s passion for chiropractic care is centered around whole-body health for families, including expectant parents, infants and children. Her goal is to offer healthy, productive living as part of your wellness team; she empowers you to be an active part of your own healthcare.
For Dr. Karen, chiropractic is not a job, but a way of life. When she’s not in the office, you can find her enjoying time with friends and family, horseback riding, hiking, scuba diving, and doing what feeds her soul—something she encourages everyone to do.
